Qantas are adding 2 additional daily flights from Sydney to Auckland starting July 13th. The move is to replace the current Emirates twice daily flights on the same route.
Emirates currently operates daily flights, EK418 and EK419, which will be suspended and replaced by Qantas flights, predominately operated by Airbus A330’s.
The new Qantas flights will depart Sydney at 8:55am and 6:20pm every day with all flights operated by A330’s except the Saturday night service that will be operated by a Boeing 737.
The new services are in addition to Qantas’s existing 3 times a day 737 flights, bringing the total to 5 return flights between Sydney and Auckland each day. Qantas will also upgrade some 737 services to A330’s depending on demand.
Qantas A330-200 offers economy and business class with 28 flat bed seats in business class.
