Emirates First Class Lounge Dubai Review
Our Marketing Coordinator, Anjelica, recently travelled to Dubai and was able to visit the extraordinary Emirates First Class Lounge.

Anjelica, our Marketing Coordinator, flew to Dubai onboard the Emirates 777-200LR Business Class cabin, before her Emirates First Class flight to Johannesburg.

On her transit, she was able to visit the largest airport lounge in the world- the Emirates First Class Lounge in Dubai. There are actually three Emirates First Class Lounges in Dubai- in Concourses A, B and C. Anjelica was advised to go to the one in Concourse B, located in Terminal 3.

Alongside seven other Emirates lounges at Dubai Airport, this specific lounge is great for high-end travellers looking to fine dine or recharge with a complimentary massage.

You can visit this lounge by booking an Emirates First Class flight if you’re an Emirates Skywards Platinum member, or if you’re a Qantas Platinum, Platinum One or Chairman’s Lounge member travelling with Emirates on a QF or EK flight number. Beyond the complimentary access, travellers can also purchase single-entry tickets.

Qantas Frequent Flyers can maximise Qantas Points and Status Credits earned by booking the codeshare flight (‘QF’ airline code) where possible. You can also earn Qantas Points, but not Status Credits, on eligible fares and flights with the Emirates, 'EK' airline code and you may then be eligible for chauffeur drive services (where offered, conditions apply).

Emirates First Class Lounge Layout and Seating

After a 14-hour flight from Adelaide to Dubai onboard Emirates 77-200LR Business Class, I was feeling calm and ready to visit the First Class Lounge. The Concourse B lounge is situated just after passport control and security, located a level above the terminal’s departure gates. It is just across from the Emirates Business Class Lounge.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who checked my boarding pass and gestured me through to the lounge. Deceivingly small on the outside, after I entered I saw that this place was huge. Luckily, there was signage that pointed you to the directions of all the sections.

The lounge is basically divided into several sections, where you can walk around the entire level in a loop motion. From the signage, you’ll naturally head onto the right side of the lounge and pass elegant seating options with chairs of two, four, or singular ones for solo travellers. Also worth the mention are the grand water features on display once you enter the lounge. Seats in the lounge are also accompanied by glamorous golden-shaded lights, plush pillows and beautiful greenery. In this lounge section, there are plenty of charging ports and departure boards for passengers to use.

As you walk up the right side of the lounge you will pass the shoe-shining service, a quiet room and the Timeless Spa which has complimentary massage treatments up to 15 minutes. You’ll also pass a Children’s Playroom full of video games and a PS4, arcade games and comfortable seating.

Throughout this section, there is plenty of seating available too. These seats felt extra luxurious because of the soft leather, elegantly accompanied with golden lamps, a marble side table, greenery and several charging outlets.

You will then pass the bakery and enter the main dining room. If you keep walking through the dining hall you will then be able to curve around to Le Clos- the fine wine and luxury spirit boutique, another lounging area, a coffee station and also find the Cigar Lounge and showers.

There were plenty of ultra-luxurious seating spaces here at the Emirates First Class Lounge - a great place to enjoy in groups or as a solo traveller. It was a quiet space with a lot of room, charging ports and elegant decor.

Emirates First Class Lounge Dining and Beverages

There is only one main dining area in this lounge, however, it sure was extensive and exceeded my expectations.

With an on-site baker making fresh bread, rolls, breakfast sandwiches, cakes and muffins to a chef's hand preparing sushi orders- the dining options are endless. Once I arrived in the main dining hall, I was escorted to a table, asked for my drink order and shown the QR code to scan the menu for a la carte dining. You are also able to pick items from the buffet, so I opted to do both! I arrived after 5.00 am, so the lounge was serving breakfast items but also had options of All Day Breakfast and All Day Lunch available.

On the a la carte menu, you can find cold menu items like a Green Breakfast Bowl, Avocado and Smoked Scottish Salmon Toast or freshly baked Manakish with a variety of cheese. On the hot menu, enjoy Eggs Benedict with a variety of sides, Homemade Pancakes or a classic Emirati Breakfast. There’s a range of freshly made protein and signature smoothies to enjoy with your meals or by itself too. There is also an All Day Lunch menu, where you can order a premium Classic Wagyu Burger as early as 4.00 am. Alongside a large selection of hot beverages, you can also order plenty of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. With free-flowing Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut Champagne, you’ll be spoilt for choice. If you’re feeling up to it, indulge in a crafted cocktail or mocktail for that pre-flight pep-up. Feel free to pop into the Bakery for a sandwich or have a sweet treat from the Dessert Station.

You can view the entire First Class menu here.

I decided to order some poached eggs, toast, hash browns, the Shade of Pink Smoothie, a latte and later finished with some fruit and an acai bowl. The food came out with some pastries as well, plus a variety of jams. The eggs were cooked to how I ordered, seasoned well and were delicious with the hash browns and toast. The small acai bowl was great to finish up on with some fruit. I enjoyed the Shade of Pink Smoothie which had a variety of berries, coconut milk, spinach, syrup and shaved coconut. It was by far the best smoothie I had ever had- packed with flavour and a great consistency.

Apart from the a la carte dining, the buffet has a range of cold food items like granola and yoghurt, there’s also an expansive dessert station, a sushi station, the bakery and a few hot food options such as chicken nasi goreng or tropical French toast. Of course, passengers can also choose from a range of antipasto, cheeses and sashimi. The dining experience at the Emirates First Class Lounge was on a whole new level. It’s safe to say that there is something for everyone here and you’ll never go hungry when you’re visiting this lounge.

Emirates First Class Lounge Amenities and Extras

At the Emirates First Class Lounge, you’ll find an array of amenities. Guests are able to access the Timeless Spa, a shoe shining service, a children’s playroom, showers, the Le Clos spirit room, a Moet & Chandon bar, a Prayer Room and also a Cigar Lounge.

Let’s start with the showers. Unfortunately, they were a little bit underwhelming. The bathrooms were small, however had a decent range of amenities. These included a dental kit, comb, shaving kit, face towels, shower cap, sanitary napkins and plenty of thick towels. There were also 2 hairdryers, as well as luxurious Voya products in the showers. For a First Class Lounge, I would have expected a little more space inside the shower cubicle themselves. However, I appreciated the small details like a coat hanger, towel and shower cap already inside for guests to use.

The Timeless Spa in the Emirates First Class Lounge offers a range of treatments such as facial therapy, body massages, beauty and skincare therapy, manicures and spa packages. Guests can enjoy a complimentary treatment for up to 15 minutes, or indulge with a longer treatment and pay. Guests can enjoy remedies such as a de-stress back massage, reflex therapy for legs and feet, an Indian head massage, a Thai body stretch or a soothing hand massage free of charge for 15 minutes.

In the Emirates First Class Lounge you’ll find a Children’s Playroom- packed with video games and a PlayStation, arcade games and comfortable seating. This was by far the best Children’s Room I had come across before and I won’t lie that I was tempted to spend a couple hours in there myself!

The Le Clos boutique is open for guests to explore a range of the finest spirits and wine offerings. From renowned Châteaux, esteemed wine growers and legendary whiskies from Scotland, there are experts who will guide you through these offerings. Guests can also indulge in an exclusive Moët & Chandon champagne tasting experience in the Emirates First Class Lounge. You’ll be met with four delicious cuvées to taste, all paired with a selection of canapés. I would encourage champagne connoisseurs to visit this bar in the lounge.

Emirates First Class Lounge Summary

I was honestly stunned by how spacious, sophisticated and exclusive the Emirates First Class Lounge was. From beginning to end it was a refined experience, with staff incredibly attentive and service very personalised.

You’ll never run out of dining and meal options, or struggle to find a place to sit in this lounge, due to its carefully thought-out design and system. The lounge is able to accommodate hundreds of guests at a time, yet whilst I was there it felt laid-back, and quiet and I was able to find plenty of private nooks for some downtime.

Booking with a QF airline code but flying on an Emirates aircraft means you get high-quality service, more lounges to access and delicious dining onboard.

If you’re flying through Dubai on a First Class Emirates ticket, I would highly suggest checking it out for yourself! As a Platinum Emirates Skywards member, you also have access to the First Class Lounge. Paid access to the Dubai Emirates First Class Lounge is also available, priced at $300 USD ($485 AUD) for one single entry.
