In good news for all our British ex-pats and tourists alike, British Airways have released airfares that include rail service to a number of domestic cities in the south west of the UK, using First Great Western Railway Services.
There are eleven UK domestic cities on the list –
On arrival at London Heathrow, passengers can make free use of the Heathrow Express service to Paddington Station, then joining their train to the city of their choice.
The ability to book a complete journey in one simple ticket is a benefit here, streamlining the process of getting to your destination and saving you time in multiple bookings. Online check-in for the train journey can be made up to 72 hours before departure, the same as your online flight check-in. You can simply print both boarding passes and keep together with your travel documents.
Additionally, your onward journey is protected in the case of either your flight or train being delayed. If your train is delayed to such an extent that you miss your flight, you will be re-accommodated on the next available flight by British Airways free of charge. The same works in the reverse, in that if your flight is delayed, causing you to miss your train connection, you can contact the British Airways Ticket Desk at Heathrow for assistance.
