Qantas and Emirates have announced the latest updates in their partnership.

As part of the new agreement, commencing March 2018, Emirates will no longer fly from Melbourne and Brisbane to Auckland. Instead Qantas will increase frequency on these routes across the Tasman, adding 7 new weekly flights Melbourne - Auckland and 2 additional flights a week Brisbane - Auckland. All of the new flights will be Emirates coded with some operated by A330 aircraft, upgraded from 737s.

The cleared up schedule will allow Emirates to also reschedule their remaining flights out of the Australia with the idea to create a better choice of departure times that connect to ongoing Europe services.

This is the second update to the Qantas/Emirates partnership with the airlines previously announcing Qantas will no longer fly through Dubai, instead routing their London services through Singapore.
