Emirates are set to go all A380 from Melbourne from March 2018. The airline currently flies 2 daily A380 services from Melbourne, with a third being operated by a Boeing 777-300. Come March 25 that third service will be upgraded to an A380, providing an additional 945 seats per week and seamless A380 to A380 connections from Melbourne to Dubai to Europe.

The upgrade is timed to coincide with Qantas’s move from their Melbourne- Dubai-London route to their new Melbourne- Perth- London Dreamliner service, giving passengers more choices under the airline’s joint partnership.

The Emirates A380 has 14 private suites in first class, 76 fully flat beds in Business Class and 399 Economy seats. As is the drawcard for the A380, First and Business class passengers also have access to the Onboard Lounge on the upper deck to socialise.

Lounge access, priority check in and a chauffeur service to and from Melbourne airport are also available to Business and First Class passengers.
