The next home for the new Qantas Dreamliners has been announced with a Brisbane to Los Angeles service that then continues on to New York (JFK) set to begin on September 1st this year.
The new Dreamliner will operate daily and replaces a current 747 service, with the LA - JFK leg timed to pick up passengers arriving in LA from Sydney and Melbourne.
Initially, until December 1st 2018, up to three additional 747 flights will still operate each week between Brisbane and LA. This service will also be replaced when the eighth Qantas Dreamliner is delivered. From December 2018 Brisbane to Los Angeles will be a full Dreamliner route with a daily and a four times a week service both operating year round.

The Qantas Dreamliner will depart Brisbane daily at 10:20am, arriving in Los Angeles at 6am. The ongoing flight from LA to JFK will depart at 8:20am, arriving at 4:40pm (passengers arriving in LA from Sydney and Melbourne will also connect to this New York service.)
The return flights will depart New York at 6:10pm, arriving in LA at 9:00pm, then departing LA at 11:25pm and arriving back in Brisbane at 6:10 am (2 days later)
The additional 747 service will operate from September - December 2018 on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing Brisbane at 5:50pm, arriving at 1:30pm, and then returning on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays departing LA at 11:25pm arriving in Brisbane at 6:10am (2 days later).
From December 1st 2018 the second Dreamliner Servce will depart Brisbane at 5:15pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays at Saturdays arriving in Los Angeles at 11:55am. iThe return service will depart LA at 9:05pm on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Satrudats arriving back in Brisbane at 5:00am (2 days later).
