Qantas have announced the launch of daily direct flights between Melbourne and Tokyo's Narita Airport from 16 December 2016. Operated by an upgraded, two-class A330-300 with 297 seats - the new service will add to the Sydney-Tokyo (Haneda) and Brisbane-Tokyo (Narita) services. Melbourne and Brisbane are our flights of choice here, compared to the much older 747 option ex-Sydney which can sometimes feature an angled business class product.

Times for these flights are as follows...

QF79: Melbourne - Narita Depart 0915, Arrive 1730

QF80: Narita - Melbourne Depart 1900, Arrives 0730

This new route for Qantas is great news for those in Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra especially, with Qantas taking over Jetstar's slot on the popular route. We are hoping that this new flight will also be utilised by JAL in our popular JAL Companion Business Class fares to Europe, but we are waiting for an update on that addition.
