Qantas will begin direct flights between Melbourne and Honolulu from May 2025 to continue connectivity between the two destinations. This will complement its popular Sydney-Honolulu route and boost the overall number of red-tailed jets flying between Australia and the USA.
The launch has come just after the announcement of the airline’s massive fleet renewal- where 20 new aircraft are set to arrive in the coming year. Being a founding oneworld member and servicing more than 80 destinations in nearly 20 countries, Qantas shows it’s commitment to offering an extensive international network to all travellers.
It comes with Jetstar ending its own twice-weekly Melbourne-Honolulu service from 30 April 2025. This is to make way for the Qantas flights, with the Boeing 787 set to move onto another long-range route.
Qantas’ new Melbourne-Honolulu A330 flights will run every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from early May 2025, with Business Class available on all journeys.
QF105 will depart Melbourne at 5.05pm, touching down in Honolulu at 7.40am
QF106 will leave Honolulu at 9.40am to reach Melbourne at 5.15pm
