Qantas has expanded their codeshare agreement with LATAM airlines and has announced that from the start of August customers will be able to earn and redeem Qantas points and status credits on 6 additional LATAM Airlines South America flights from Qantas’ hub in Santiago. The new services include flights to Montevideo in Uruguay as well as 5 additional destinations in Brazil.
Including these new destinations, Qantas frequent flyers can now earn points and status credits on LATAM operated services to six South American countries and 14 South American destinations.
Brazil - Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre, Brasilia (new from October 2019), Belo Horizonte (new from August 2019), Curitiba (new from August 2019), Florianopolis (new from August 2019)
Chile - Santiago, Antofagasto, Punta Arenas
Colombia - Bogota
Ecuador - Guayaquil
Peru - Lima
Uruguay - Montevideo (new from August 2019)
Qantas currently operates four direct return flights per week between Santiago and Sydney, with seven return LATAM flights per week. Qantas Frequent Flyers can also earn points and status credits on LATAM direct flights to Melbourne running three times per week.
