Qantas has answered the call from Perth passengers and added more flights on the Perth-Singapore route, starting from early July.
Qantas will operate nine services per week on the route which will then increase to ten from 19 August. Benefits for travellers include:
Qantas operates a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with Economy and Business cabins on the route. These planes are generally used on domestic routes, so unfortunately no Skybed in Business Class, however its worth remembering that this is a relatively short international flight at five hours, twenty minutes. For this reason we would probably choose the earlier departure out of Singapore at 6:35pm, rather than the overnight at 11pm. What you will get is a Marc Newson designed seat with 37” seat pitch and 22” width between arms. On selected aircraft there is also an extendable leg rest, cocktail table and power and USB connectivity.
In both Economy and Business Class, entertainment is provided on select planes with seat-back touchscreens. The remaining aircraft have been fitted with wireless Q-streaming, allowing you to stream on-demand TV, movies and music direct to your own laptop, tablet or smartphone.
