British Airways has opened a brand new business class lounge at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport, the first in a worldwide revamp of lounges across their network.
The lounge features a new sleek and sophisticated design for the airline with a contemporary feel and separate areas to work and relax.
The 460 square metre lounge has capacity for 120 passengers, and features a granite topped bar which at peak times will be staffed by an experienced bartender and at quieter times will serve as a fully stocked self serve option.
The lounge also features high windows providing plenty of natural light and great views over the runway. Smart electronic blinds are automatically adjusted to light and heat maintaining a comfortable environment at any time of the day.
The next revamped lounge in the British Airways network to be unveiled will be at New York’s JFK, followed by Aberdeen, Scotland later this year. Plans are in place to then open new lounges in Geneva, San Francisco, Johannesburg and Chicago.
